Scheherazade 1.3

The Trap

SCHEHERAZADE 1.3, part of the SCHEHERAZADE series, is a tribute to the One Thousand and One Nights.

So forget the traditional method of solving logic problems. This problem requires thinking outside the box. SCHEHERAZADE series is made up of premises that incite the imagination so that the objective is to discover the solution to the problem that matches the author’s. . Logic in URAIMSIA, an Armchair Treasure Hunt Book, is something like Alice in Wonderland. So follow the white rabbit (your imagination) and enter the hole (thinking outside the box).

By the way, Jakim Vyzov is part of my pen name and a cyphered puzzle too. So you have to decode it to realize its real meaning. My whole pen name got 5 part, so Jakim Vyzov is just 2 of 5 parts. The rest of my pen name – the other 3 parts of 5 – is going to be showed when the book will be available for sale.

Solve the following problem if you can:

While driving past a farm somewhere in the American Midwest, a man sees an 8-year-old girl playing next to the house. He distances himself and starts to observe her, as well as the house, through binoculars.

When he realized that the girl was alone for a long time every day, always at the same time, he decides to lure her to his car.

Succeeding in kidnapping the victim, the man takes her to a place of dense forest. Then he takes off the girl’s clothes, puts her in the back seat of the car and starts to take off her own clothes.

Five days later, a farmer in the region who was hunting found his car in the woods. When he checks the inside of it, he realizes that there is an adult skeleton in the sitting position in the back seat. Then he calls the police.

The police find that the car is stolen and, after DNA tests, discover that the man’s identity is Mervin Scottdale, a serial killer predator of children.

Searches were made in the area for possible victims of the maniac, but nothing was found. The police had checked if there were any reports of disappearance of a child recently in several states, but found nothing.

The serial killer was on the run from the police and his last victim had been a 6-year-old boy 9 days ago in a town about 70 kilometers from where his remains had been found.

What could have happened? Where would the girl be?

The police wondered how a body could fully decompose in three days!

Can you tell us what happened to the girl and to the serial killer’s body? What is the connection of this story with the others in the Scheherazade series?
