Scheherazade 1.7

Where

SCHEHERAZADE 1.7, part of the SCHEHERAZADE series, is a tribute to the One Thousand and One Nights.

So forget the traditional method of solving logic problems. This problem requires thinking outside the box. SCHEHERAZADE series is made up of premises that incite the imagination so that the objective is to discover the solution to the problem that matches the author’s. . Logic in URAIMSIA, an Armchair Treasure Hunt Book, is something like Alice in Wonderland. So follow the white rabbit (your imagination) and enter the hole (thinking outside the box).

By the way, Jakim Vyzov is part of my pen name and a cyphered puzzle too. So you have to decode it to realize its real meaning. My whole pen name got 5 part, so Jakim Vyzov is just 2 of 5 parts. The rest of my pen name – the other 3 parts of 5 – is going to be showed when the book will be available for sale.

Solve the following problem if you can:

Mervin Scottdale opened his eyes and saw a reddish sky with clouds in various shades of gray, but with an emphasis on leaden hue. The ground was also reddish.

Mervin Scottdale wondered where he was. Suddenly, he heard groans of pain coming from all directions.

Then he noticed figures in the sky. “Were they birds? If they are birds, what kind would they be? How did I end up in this place? It looks like an alien planet! Or am I under the effect of drugs and/or hypnosis?” he asked.

Suddenly, he heard the birds cawing and looked up: the birds were coming towards him. He started running in search of a place to shelter, but there was none. The entire floor in that place seemed to be flat.

Finally, he tripped and fell on his face. Then he heard the flutter of the birds’ wings as they landed, as well as the noise of the impact of their legs on the ground.

“My God, they must be huge!” he lamented. He closed his eyes and waited to be devoured.

However, he was raised brutally by the arms and some of the birds and saw astonished that they were not birds, but beings that resembled many of the images of demons he had already seen.

The demonic beings stripped him naked and began to abuse him sexually. Then Mervin Scottdale wondered, “Why am I going through this, my God? May it all be over soon.”

Eventually, he was devoured by the demonic beings. He felt terrible pain both from sexual abuse and from being devoured.

But again Mervin Scottdale opened his eyes and saw everything as the first time.

“A déjà vu?” he wondered.

And everything was repeated as the first time.

Then Mervin Scottdale opened his eyes again and remembered this third time the legend of Prometheus, who had his liver devoured by an eagle as punishment for having stolen fire from the gods and given it to humans. But then he remembered that he was no hero, but a villain, a serial killer, a child predator.

His cry began to echo along with that of the others he had heard the first time and that came from everywhere.

What place would that be? What is the connection with the other stories in the Scheherazade series?
